This fish market (muchlee bazaar) is located on the curb of a main intersection in Bandra, Bombay. Fisher Ladies (As we call them in India) carry the morning’s catch in a wicket basket to various locations in Bandra.

The Fish Buying Process:

You walk up to a fisher lady ask her if she has the type of fish you want to eat and if she does you proceed to haggle for the best deal possible. You see mostly women shopping at these locations given that they tend to do the cooking within families.

There is nothing like some freshly fried fish with an India kingfisher beer!!!
