But it&#039;s handy if you are following enough people in your fields of interest -- then you get notified about things in a more timely manner than just reading blogs.  There have been a couple of live streaming video events (conferences etc) that I would have missed if I hadn&#039;t been using Twitter.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;To get the most out of it you need to be using one of the 3rd party readers like Twitterfox.</description>
